Podcasts are simply an automated way to transfer pre-recorded digital files automatically via syndication (signing up for the latest which automatically arrives) or by downloading. In other words, the Internet is the medium through which you get the Podcast content, but you don’t have to be connected to the Internet to listen to (or view) it.
But that’s enough Podcast techno-speak. It’s all about Apples Ipod and the opportunity is for marketers to have their target audience listening to their message/content in places where they would normally have trouble reaching them (the running machine, the bath, the beach).
