"Digital" is a very broad church these days. It covers everything from affiliates to widgets. Its common denominator is the use of the Internet, or to be specific, Internet Protocol (IP), to transfer data around the world to whatever device you fancy receiving it on.
The use and deployment of digital permeates into every vein of life. It has become so "easy" to use that it has pulled a bit of a trick on us. The easier it gets to use, in theory the more complicated (or clever) the technology has become. But that doesn't mean that developing a digital project becomes commensurately easier.
Digital is incredibly complicated, but that doesn't mean the technologies behind it can't be explained clearly to any non-technical person. Some people seek to bamboozle with techy-speak. Managing a successful digital project requires a balance of respect for the technology and a confidence to challenge and seek the truth behind the jargon. Good luck!
