In the golden age of the traditional advertising world, the showreel was King - and why not? The vast majority of creative was either beautifully shot TV ads or slick press images, all of which looked wonderful when cut to perfection and set to a suitable score. Those days however, have gone. In fact, in the digital market place you could argue they never existed in the first place.

If you adopt a paid model, in which agencies pay a subscription/membership to be considered for projects, then you’re very unlikely to be able to deliver a service that solely focuses on excellence for your clients. We want to be able to work with the best agencies, and not just those with the deepest pockets.

It now widely accepted that marketing has moved at a rate that has left both agencies and clients with some catching up to do. In many areas the consumer of 10 years ago is a vastly different individual, and certain products and services have developed incredible power in unbelievably short time frames.
